Valentine's Day

Celebrate Love In Style This Valentine’s Day!

When you have a full day reserved to celebrate love, what do you do? In our previous post we gave you some unique Valentine’s Day Ideas.

From dinners to short videos, everything is valid when it comes to celebrating love. And although every day is a good day to demonstrate love to our loved ones, Valentine’s Day has some special charm. And what better way to do this than with some stylish and fun activities at home? It doesn’t matter if you are only with your significant other or with your whole family and kids, the most important thing here is to celebrate love!

One of the best ways to keep the family together is cooking. And by cooking, I mean eating. To add some style to this simple activity, let’s put our Aprons up and get your hands dirty?

And while the kids are cooking some heart-shaped cookies, why don’t we go set the table? Maybe the rest of the family can be decorating. Some rose gold tableware and flowers can make your dining table stunning. And don’t forget the table cover.

When Valentine’s Day was first celebrated in the year 496 as a Roman festival, words and letters were more common to demonstrate love. “From your Valentine” was the most used signature in those letters, and many of them didn’t have a name, being known as secret love letters.

In case you have a big family and don’t know how to make something different this year, how about some of these secret letters? Try writing to a family member and sending the letter through mail (make sure to start soon so that Canada Post has time to deliver) while signing “Your Valentine”.

If you are not the letter type person, small post-it notes also work. To make the idea even better, attach the notes to Heart Balloons. Here you can use your imagination. Adjectives or compliments are shorts and will fit in the post-it very easily. But parts of songs and cheesy pick-up lines will make some good laughs.

Another stylish way to celebrate Valentine’s day is by having a nice breakfast together. In case you don’t know how to cook or don’t want to have to, there is always a nice Breakfast Basket, Boxes and Valentine’s Kits available to buy. If you want to go even fancier, Chacurterie Boxes  will make you stand out for sure.

Romantic dates ask for romantic movies, right? For a movie night (link: https://www.pinterest.ca/pin/149111437651080180/) all you need is a good movie, a blanket, popcorn, and decorations. What about paper lamps to hang or Valentine’s balloons to distribute around the area?

Another stylish thing you can do is print a photo and put it on a Heart Photo Frame. Photos are always a good gift and a way to remember the good moments, and Valentine’s Day couldn’t be different. Although nowadays will be hard to go out to take some nice wintery romantic vibes photos due to Covid, inside is also an alternative. Just buy a Polaroid Camera and play around.

These photos can be used later to decorate your house or, to complement this idea, a Happybook/Scrapbook can also be an alternative. Use the photos to tell the story behind your day. You can start by taking pictures of breakfast, through some fun games and flowers, and finishing with the dinner.

Is there any fancier way to celebrate love than taking pictures that print right after you take them?

Valentine’s Day is all about love, but who said that only romantic activities have to be involved? For the adventurous one, instead of adhering to the traditions, take some time to plan a trip to another country or a bungee jump experience. Figure it out something that both always wanted to do but for some reason never did it.

Valentine’s Day in 2021 also asks for new traditions…

And a fresh start. So think outside the box here. Music fans can create a playlist with all memorable songs to share with their loved ones, or even play some of them during the day, turning the experience into a Karaoke. Board games are also an alternative to keep the whole family together, and there’s a lot of good DIY Valentine’s Day games online.

This Valentine’s Day will be different, but it doesn’t mean it can be awesome. The truth is: as long as you enjoy and have fun with your date, the activity is just a plus.
